The <br />newsletter will be self. <br />supporting by the sale of <br />advertising space which will <br />generate revenue to cover the <br />costs of production and <br />distribution. <br />The purpose of this <br />newsletter will be to provide <br />concise, timely, accurate, and <br />factual information from and <br />about the activities of the Ci- <br />ty, Anoka-Hennepin School <br />District No. -'",,:!!s, Piver In- <br />dependent School District <br />No. 728, Anoka Ramsey Com- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />munity College, Anoka Area <br />Chamber of Commerce, Mer- <br />cy Medical Center and other <br />non-profit organizations <br />within the city. <br />It is not the purpose of this <br />newsletter to provide. com- <br />mentary on the day-to-day <br />business of the City or the <br />other participating agencies, <br />but 'rather to reach individuals <br />of the City with information <br />on activities and upcoming <br />events. The City will not be <br />responsible for damage to <br />trash cans that are in the <br />street right-of-way. On pick-up <br />days, please put the cans on <br />the boulevard or a reasonable <br />distance into. the driveway. <br />Thank you. <br /> <br />City of Ramsey <br />Sn~wplowing <br />Procedure <br /> <br />It is the pol icy of the City of <br />Ramsey to plow all City <br />streets when the snow depth <br />is two inches or more. Normal <br />starting time is 2:00 a.m. or <br />sooner if weather permits. It <br />takes from six to ten hours to <br />open all streets dep~nding <br />upon the snowfall amount, <br />wind conditions and obsta- <br />cles in the way such as cars <br />and garbage cans. <br />The City is divided into five <br />routes with each route being <br />assigned at least one major <br />thoroughfare which is opened <br />almost immediately. <br />The snowplow crew. con- <br />s Ls t s 0 f f 0 u r f u 11- ti m e <br />employees and six part-time <br />employees with seven pieces <br />of equipment. These consist <br />of three large trucks with <br />plow, wing and sander, two <br />graders with wings, one <br />loader and one small four- <br />wheel drive truck, with plow <br />.for plowing intersections and <br />cul-de-sacs. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />
