14280 Sunfish Lake Blvd NW: Riverside Manufacturing - Building is going up nicely and
they should be near completion at years end. Look for a ribbon cutting ceremony sometime in
the near future.

5175142nd Avenue NW: Staff met with an insurance company that has interest in construction a
5-10,000 Square foot building. Staff is also awaiting a proposal that would have a 2 story office
building constructed on the site. More information to come...

14050 Basalt Street: Demolition commenced on the building on May 4th, 2006. Bids were
awarded at the November 14 Council meeting and the contamination clean-up as well as site
prep should occur before December. Staff will continue to work with Ace Solid Waste to
develop the site.

14230 Basalt St NW: Dave Perkins Contracting is fully moved into their new facility.

Miscellaneous

RegulationofMotor Vehicle Sales, Rental and Repair businesses. Historically, inspections and
enforcement of the performance standards for motor vehicle sales, repair and rental businesses
along the Highway # 1 0 corridor have been conducted on a complaint basis, similar to residential
code enforcement practices. Enforcement of these standards using a complaint-based program
has proven to be very difficult and ineffective. As a result, Community Development staff
initiated a program this summer to notify all affected business owners of the regulations and that
regular inspections would be performed. Furthermore, that the results of these inspections would be
referenced as part of the annual City licensing program.

A series of 4 inspections were conducted this summer. The focus of the inspections has been on compliance
with paved surface requirements, signage, and outside storage. Staff is compiling a report for the December
12 City Council agenda to review the results of the inspections. At that meeting, City Staffwill be soliciting
direction from City Council as to appropriate action(s) to betaken in January when the 2007 licenses come
before Cquncil for approval.

Ovemll, City Stafffeels that the regular inspections will be more effective than the complaint-based system
and there are plans to conduct quarterly inspections beginning in 2007.

Ramsey Crossings: Nothing new to report..

Additional Parcels Identified for Acquisition: Nothing new to report.

Lot 1, Block 2, Sunfish Lake Business Park 2nd Addition: The soil compaction is complete on
this site and it is now ready to be marketed for development. The soil used for the compaction is
now being removed and should be complete prior to Winter. The site is approximately 3 acres
and there have been some inquiries already. Staff will work with Panther Precision Machine to
see if a deal can be negotiated to bring development to the site.

Future Meeting Topics:
1. Land Acquisition
2. Marketing Property

17
