Case #1: Public Hearing & Adopt Ordinance Adopting the 2007 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:31 p.m. in order to conduct a public hearing. Public Hearin2 Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:31 p.m. Presentation Finance Officer Lund explained effective June 30, 1991, Ordinance #91-08 amended S7.01.10 of the City Code to allow the City Council to annually set fees. The City is allowed to annually adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges by Resolution, but the City has chosen to adopt its entire schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoption provides the opportunity for comments at a public hearing and gives adequate time (30 days) before the rates go into effect. Ms. Lund advised the proposed ordinance was introduced at the November 14,2006 City Council meeting with a pubic hearing to be held November 28, 2006. The Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges reflect the rates and fees to be charged by the City for services beginning January 1,2007. Any amendments to this schedule during 2007 will need to be made by ordinance. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Pearson, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Elvig and Jeffrey. The public hearing was closed at 7:32 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:32 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt Ordinance #06-31 - 2007 Rates, Fees and Charges.
