YOUTH SECTION
,( Rose wlleg Fir

The Rose just woke up from the vibrant
sleep,
of a winter of fallen snows,
But from the life of a new budded flower,
Its the way that everything goes.

As its new life begins it seeks the Sky,
With the sun rising up from the east,
The fresh air seeps through the stem
of this plant,
As the petals unfold, they're released.

It stands proud and tall, taking in its
surroundings,
It sees a mountain with tulips of
white,
An ocean with sands outline its
shape,
Doves outstretched wings float in
flight,

The Rose sights clouds padding through
the clear blue,
A drizzle, freshens and enriches,
The after effects are of colors so
bright,
A rainbow enlightened with riches.

The season continues to pass on,away,
The Rose grows and prospers in
thE! sun,
It produces the Seeds of its offspring
in time,
Because soon the Roses life will be
done,

The cold comes on, all too soon for the
Rose,
It smiles at the life that it got,
And the winter ~inds pass and the
storms all subside,
The coolness turns warm into hot,

As Spring does appear, a stem starts
to sprout,
Nature is slowly working, and knows,
The time has come, along once again,
As a new bud turns into a Rose.
As I lie on my bed, the fantasys of my books
control my thoughts.
Th adventures in the books that I read are
in me. A bright sunny day with birds singing
out my window. Quaint cottages with pies
cooling on the sill and the trees towering
over protectively. When I am done with my
work, I relax and am happy with a book in my
hand.
What is Blue

Blue is the color of a shirt
or a sweater
or a clear sky.
Blue is the color of a lake
or river,
It's also the color of a
very cold shiver.
Blue is the color of a chair
but certainly not
the color of
your hair.
Blue is the color of shoes
or skies
It1s a form of purple
when you hurt
your knees.
Blue is the color of feeling down
sinking
and sagging
to the ground.
Blue is the color of a pencil
or a pen.
but I doubt a color of a chicken
or a hen.
Blue is your face,
after a twenty-six mile race.
Blue is the color of a rug,
or a beetle,
or a bug.
Blue 1S the color of a cup
or a dish,
It's a little patch of blue
on a certain kind of fish.
Blue is like the sea,
it makes me feel free.

--Bill 14ueller

Slue

Blue is the color of:
Jordashe jeans,
,school folders and those jersey shirts
you wear to Church.
The sky is blue on a warm sunny day,
that makes you feel so happy and gay.
And also the sweet sound of the wind.
Blue is the color of the house around
the block that's been blue for years.
So don't cry with
those old blue tears.
Blue is like stripes on my
old white shirts.
Sometimes,
It's like when you fall down and get
hurt.
That's the color of
Blue!

111Jtb game

Here1s a math game that's lots of fun.
Just pick a number...any one!
Now, add nine to the one you chose.
Multiply by two: no time to doze.
Subtract four. Divide by two.
Don't give up. We're nearly through.
Subtract the number you picked first time
from the last answer in this rhyme.
No matter what number you chose for your start,
you'll end up with seven, because you're smart'
Why dues this happen? Don't ask me.
The seven comes up...Magically!
