Many
hundreds of families in Ramsey
turned out for the day which carried a

western theme and featured a variety
of popular, carnival games and
activities. Clowns, prizes, cake walks,
a side show, pony rides, refreshments
and lots of good old fashioned fun
made the day enjoyable for everyone
young and old.

Much of the success of the event
can be attributed to an enthusiastic
and hard working committee,' of
Advisory Council members and a host
of Ramsey businesses, organizations
and volunteers who contributed
generously their resources, time and
talents. A hardy thank you goes out
to all those people for making Family
Fun Day 1981 a truly wonderful
community, event.

Proceeds from this year's Fun Day
are estimated at $2,000. One of
their first duties is planning and
organizing daily lessons. They are
also becoming familiar with the
characteristics of children at a
particular grade level, learning about
classroom management, trying
different teaching strategies and
activities, developing units, and
learning to plan on a long term basis.
The student teachers have daily
feedback from their supervising
teachers. During the last few weeks
of the experience they are totally
responsible for planning and
implementing the learning activities
in their classroom.
Luanne Lemberg, University
Coordinator, remarks that the
student teachers appreciate the help
and support the Ramsey staff offers
them. The open-space is exciting to
work in because the student teachers
can observe and learn from all the
teachers in the area. The enthusiasm
and new ideas that the student
teachers bring to Ramsey are
welcomed by the entire staff.

SPRING QUARTER
STUDENT TEACHING STAFF

Left to Right: Vera Romness, Luanne Lemberg-Supervisor, Annette Windmier,
Janice Harpoie, Deanna Pesek, and Mary Jost.
