About Dogs . . . .

The City has ordinances which have been adopted to
control animals for the general well being of the citizens
of Ramsey.
Complaints which are most frequently received by
the City Office involve barking dogs and dogs that are
allowed. to run at large. The ordinance states that
habitual barking of dogs is not allowed. If you have a
dog that habitually barks, he is no doubt disturbing
several of your neighbors. These neighbors will hesitate
to call and complain because they feel it may cause hard
feelings, etc. Meanwhile, they have to put up with the
annoyance.
The same holds true for animals who are allowed to
I eave th eir yards and infringe upon neighboring
properties. People do not appreciate having to "clean"up
their yard after someone else's dog, clean up turned over
garbage, replace destroyed shrubbery, etc., the list goes
on and on.
We repeatedly ask for your assistance and
cooperation in remedying this problem because the calls
keep coming in.

A REMINDER
FROM
THE BUI LDING
DEPARTMENT

Built a garage, pole barn or swimming pool lately?
Have you called in for all the inspections -- especially
the' final? Please don't forget to schedule them upon
completion of your project.

REMI NDER. . .Anyone keeping
more than two dogs in a residential
area must apply for a commercial
kennel license. If you need
information on this ordinance, call
City Hall.

Pet Clink

The City of Ramsey will hold a dog clinic on Saturday,
June 24, 1978, at Ramsey City Municipal Building, 15153
Nowthen Boulevard N.W., from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
This is an excellent opportunity for pet owners to obtain
shots at a reduced cost. Rabies shots are $4.00 and
Distemper shots are $6.00 each. City dog licenses are on
sale at the clinic. The cost of licenses are $3.00/male or
spayed female and $5.00 for unspayed female.
Certification of spaying must be presented to obtain a
$3.00 license.

RAMSEY HISTORY BOOKS
are available at the new
City Hall for $2.00

P-C Meeting

The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation
Commission will be held June 22, 1978, 7:30 p.m.
instead of June 15, 1978 for the month of June only.
