BIKE SAFETY Officer Tom Anderson of the Ramsey City Police Department held a Bike Safety Workshop for all students at Ramsey Elementary. Two films were shown emphasizing defensive bike riding and safety pointers. Officer Anderson gives workshops throughout the school year as a service to students at Ramsey Elementary School. REGISTRATION PROCEDURES Registration will be done by phone only at the Community Education Department of District 11's Educational Service Center. The phone number is 755-8220. Tentative registration dates are June 14th and 15th. A more detailed explanation of registration procedures will be outlined in the Summer Fun Finder which will be mailed to all families with children attending Anoka-Hennepin schools. That brochure will be mailed the last week in May. If you have questions regarding summer program prior to that time please call Ramsey Community School 427-9350. Morning Playground Again this summer an exciting morning playground program will be provided by trained staff and specialists. Each morning will offer a funfilled variety of activities to include: trips, crafts, games, music activities, sports, special treat days and low organized games. DATE AND TIME: Program begin.s Monday, June 19th and will run Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. Ending date is Wednesday August 2nd. Grade 1-3 ...................... 9to 10:30 a.m. Grade 4-6 ................... 10: 45 to 12: 15 p. m. There is no fee unless the child wishes to purchase a morning playground T-shirt. Baseball Baseball specialists have been hired to teach the fundamentals of baseball to boys and girls at their level. Games will be played on Fridays as a learning experience. SCHEDULE: June 19th to August 3rd Cubs (Kindergarten and first year first graders) Monday, Wednesday and Friday OR Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 to 12:00 noon. Tuffies (first and second graders) Monday, Wednesday and Friday OR Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45 to 10: 15 a.m. Pee Wees (third and fourth graders) Monday thru Thursday from 8:30to 10:15a.m. OR 10:30to . 12:00 noon Ponies (fifth and sixth graders) Monday thru Thursday from 10:30 to 12:00 noon NOTE: all Cubs and Tuffies games will be on Fridays at Anoka Senior High School - players will be bused to and from Ramsey Elementary School. Pee Wees and Ponies games will be scheduled twice a week with other parks or schools. A small fee will be charged for those who wish to purchase a T-Shirt.
