- 2 -

on the dog ordinance, as they feel new residents moving into our Tovm-
ship may not be aware that we have a dog ordinance. We have a leash law
and all dogs must be on their own premlses. We have had calls about dogs
running in packs. This is sometimes dangerous, especially for children.
If your dog is not confined to hisovm premises, he can be picked up by
the dog catcher and this is expensive both for you and for us. Dog linceses
may be purchased here at the ToWn Hall any week day from 9:00 to 4:30.

The quarterly rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats will be held
Saturdaymprning, March 16,1974 from 8:00.to 12:00 a.m. In addition
other vaccinations for dogs and cats will be available upon request. Dr.
W. K. Bl7Unell from the Anoka-Wes~ Pet Hospital will be administering the
vaccinations. Fee schedules are as follows:

Rabies (dogs and cats)- - - - - - - - $3.00
Distemper (dogs and cats) - - - - - - 5.00
ijepatitis (dog) included with distemper
Leptospirosis (dog) - - - - - - - - - 2.50

Some interest has been shown in having a spay and neuter clinic for dogs
and cats in addition to the usual rabies clinic. If interest, please con-
tact Dr. W. K. Brunell at the Anoka-West Pet Hospital. Phone 427-2220.

We also want to remind our residents that the Anoka Union is the official
newspaper for the To\vn of Ramsey. Please note the legal section, as well
as, the general news.

Many of our citizens are protecting their belongings with Operation Iden-
tification by using an engraver from the Town Hall to mark everything of
value in their homes. You know if the police find just one article that
is marked, often they can locate all the rest of it. It doesn't cost
you anything to borrow the engraver. We have ten and they are out in
use all the time. Come in or call in and we will be glad to put your
name on the list.

There are many services that can be used by our Senior Citizens.
mation on such services can be obtained by calling Rose Warniken
County Court House 421-4760 and asking for her. We hope many of
ior Citizens will avail themselves of whatever services they may
can use.

Infor-
at the
our Sen-
need or

With spring coming and more people being out around the country, we would
like to caution everyone about keeping close watch in your own area for
cars that do not belong and people that do not belong there. Ask your
neighbors to keep watch on your place when you are gone and do the same
for them. Watchful and aware citizens can accomplish much more in the
protection of persons and property than a big police force Qecause they
know what is normal for their area. We have a very fine part time police-
man, ~like Auspos, who can be reached at this number when he is on duty,
427-1212. He has a two way radio in his car and this number will reach
him thru the sheriff's call office in Anoka.

About transporting gasoline in your car:: REMEMBER 1 gallon of gas has
the potential of 8 sticks of dynamite and that only 3 gallons of gas in
2 cans may be carried in a car.

The new school building is growing each day. Yesterday a couple of loads
of steel bracing went by, looked like something for the ceiling. It should
be ready next August "if God's willin' and the creek don't rise."

....
