~

Public Notice

Ramsey Wants You!

Environmental Policy Board
Parl( and Recreation Commission
Public Safety Board
Charter Commission

The City of Ramsey is looking for residents who are inter-
ested in participating in the governance of their community
by serving as a board or commission member.
Nothing more than an interest in the community and the
ability to commit your time by attending monthly meet-
ings is required. This is an excellent way to meet other
residents and to contribute in a very meaningful way to
your community. Please visit the City's website at www.
ci.ramsey.mn.us and clicl( on "Employment" to print
an application. You may also call Human Resources at
763-576-4301 for additional information or to receive an
application.
Board and commission seats are open until filled. The
first review of applications will be January 5, 2006. To be
considered for a seat on the board of your choice, submit a
completed application to the Human Resources Manager at
the new Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive
NW, Ramsey, MN 55303.

Keep Snow Away
from Fire Hydrants

Please help us keep snow away from fire
hydrants. Snow piled or shoveled close to
hydrants restricts operation during a fire emer-
gency.
After a snowfall the Public Works Department is
responsible for clearing snow from City streets. Depend-
ing on the amount and type of snow this could tal(e several
days. We are requesting your help in l(eeping our fire
hydrants accessible. Please clear a four-foot circle around
the hydrant near your home or business to assure easy ac-
cess for our Fire Department.
If you have any questions or comments please call
John Nelson, Ramsey Fire Department at 763-433-9861.
Thanl( you for your efforts!

Ramsey's Environmental
Specialist is Retiring

Bruce Bacon, the City's
long time Environmental Special-
ist, has announced his retirement
effective December 8, 2006.
Many of you know Bruce through
his involvement in the annual
Environmental Expo and Tree
Sale, Arbor Day events, the Oal(
Wilt program, Tree City USA
activities, or perhaps providing you with helpful informa-
tion regarding the health of your own trees. Because of
his many public outreach efforts, the City would like to
extend an invitation to the community to attend an open
house celebrating Bruce's tenure and service with Ramsey.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6 from
4:00-6:00 pm in the Alexander Ramsey Room in the new
Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive. You are
welcome to stop by and wish Bruce well as he embarks on
this new and exciting phase of his life.

Snowplowing Policies

For information regarding snowplowing policies
and frequently asl(ed questions, please refer to the City's
website at www.ci.ramsey.mn.us. then go to Departments
and Public Works.
