<br />Environmental Specialist Bacon asked if anyone had ever heard of Yellow Wood. None <br />of the EPB members had heard of the species. Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested <br />there was a cultural component in the Releaflnventory. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max asked how old the neighborhoods were in the sampling. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that number 1 is about 30 years old; 2 is about the <br />same; 3 is about the same. He stated that North Fork is about 20 years old and is still <br />being developed. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max stated they would have to be pretty large trees to be original <br />trees. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked for clarification about the age of the homes. Environmental <br />Specialist Bacon stated that Kunde Co. has been doing Oak Wilt studies over the years. <br />They weren't totally constrained by a random sample, so there might have been some <br />recent homes. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max asked if the samplings were random. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that the lots in the 3 older subdivisions were <br />randomly selected. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max asked for clarification and review of methodology from Kunde <br />Co. Acting Chairperson Max stated he would like to know what can be done to leverage <br />the inventory. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked if the lot sizes in North Fork were larger. Environmental <br />Specialist Bacon stated they were, but the plat maps were available for that data. He <br />suggested going to the Anoka County web site for more information. <br /> <br />Board Member Sibilski stated that lots in 3 are larger than 1 or 2. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max asked if anybody else had ideas to ask Mr. Nicholson. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked if the information would be comparable to the old tree <br />inventory data. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon explained that this study covers high land only, so it is a <br />very small segment of the tree inventory. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested e-mailing questions to him, so Mr. Nicholson <br />can be prepared. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max asked how Mr. Nicholson would change the methodology if <br />conclusions can't be drawn because ofthe methodology. <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board!
