<br />Acting Chairperson Max stated it was safer to say that it was representative of older <br />developments. He noted that the study complements the direction of the intent for the <br />Comprehensive Plan. He asked if the EPB wanted to study the entire city, <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that MLCCS is available as a resource for the rest <br />of the city to look at as a representation of a speculative projection. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max compared this study, noting that it appears similar to ground <br />truthing. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that Kunde Co. might not be pleased about how <br />his data is used. Mr. Nicholson is willing to attend the next EPB meeting. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated that the sampling was a reliable resource. <br /> <br />Council Member Strommen stated the purpose ofMLCCS was as a tool to help plan. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max expressed surprise at the different species of trees and their <br />locations. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated these are residential lots that are mowed. He <br />stated that if this was done to all the developments that haven't been graded, the numbers <br />might show up differently. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max suggested that some of the neighborhoods that are now graded <br />should be a part of the study. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz stated that would be the homeowner's choice to become part of the <br />study. <br /> <br />Council Member Strommen asked what the city's grading policy is. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon stated the choices of species from twenty years ago have <br />shifted, which is alright for master planning. He asked how city policy could be made to <br />come up with suggestions for species. <br /> <br />Board Member Bentz asked if choices of species and city policy weren't already in the <br />Tree Book. <br /> <br />Acting Chairperson Max suggested that the tree inventory be taught at the EXPO. <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested that the impact on God's creation of <br />biodiversity be an educational seminar at the EXPO. <br /> <br />Environmental Policy Board!
