Resolved Issues <br />Ramsey Comprehensive Plan <br />03/12/01 <br />1) Permanent Rural Area Boundary. <br />Comments: The Permanent Rural Area Boundary will be shrunk as discussed at <br />the March 1 work session. <br />Remaining Issues <br />Land Use Map — Residential Density near Northfork <br />Comments: Based on the discussion at the March 1 work session, high and low <br />density areas near Northfork will be changed to medium density residential. <br />ISTS language <br />Comments: At the February 27 meeting, the City Council introduced an <br />ordinance that would require septic systems to be pumped/cleaned every three <br />years unless an inspection show that the pumping/cleaning is unnecessary. Given <br />this policy direction, language needs to be included that talks about the septic <br />system management program. <br />Central Planning Area <br />Comments: Metropolitan Council Member Natalie Haas Steffen offered a <br />reduction of the 4 in 40 density restriction in exchange for designating a planning <br />study area. <br />3) Density Transition language <br />Comments: At the January 25 work session, a draft was presented that removed <br />density transition charter amendment language. At least one Council member <br />expressed a desire to place greater emphasis on density transition language in the <br />Comp. Plan. <br />Land Use Map /Classifications <br />Mixed Use Area that would include medium and high density residential uses. <br />Comments: Some Councilmembers have indicated a willingnesss to move the <br />mixed use area to the west side of Section 28. At least one Councilmember has <br />indicated that the entire Section 28, south of Hwy. 116, should be designated as <br />"places to work ". <br />
