<br />.....,. ..... ....... <br /> <br />Ramsey Memorandum <br />July 10, 2000 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Final Observation <br /> <br />Consideration of a reduction in densities seems to have been prompted by one development proposal <br />and the resulting discussion of issues by surrounding residents. The draft Comprehensive Plan <br />identifies a number of medium and high density areas along other portions of St. Francis Boulevard. <br />These areas may have roadway connections, neighborhood attitudes and other conditions that may <br />differ considerably from those encountered in the recent proposal. Concluding that higher densities <br />are inappropriate for the entire community based on one specific case may be an erroneous <br />conclusion. The other sites designated in the plan may be suitable for higher density developments, <br />ones that might be able to more adequately preserve open space consistent with the character of the <br />City of Ramsey. <br />
