Portable Signs are permitted only in business and industrial type <br />districts and are subject to temporary p~it and fee requirements. Temporary sign pennits for. <br />portable.'signs .shall be allowed for seven (7) day periods, six (6) times a year per business. <br />However, where m9re than one (1) proprietorship or business uses the same building or parcel, <br />no more than two. (2) portable sign devices shall be in place at anyone time. <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Public Event Signs may be erected and maintained for a period <br />not to exceed thirty (30) days prior to the date on which the event is scheduled to occur and shall <br />be removed within. forty-eight (48) hours of the termination of said event. A fixed fee, as <br />established by City Council, per sign not removed within 48 hours following the termination of <br />the event will be charged and said charges will be. used to defray the cost of removal by the City. <br />Number, location and size of said public event. signs shall be subject to the approval of the <br />Zoning Administrator with consideration given to the public .safety and the signage reasonably <br />necessary and appropriate for the intended purpose. <br /> <br />9.12.06 .
