<br />4. Window signs are restricted to thirty percent (30%) of the area of the <br />window in which the sign is to be displayed. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Shopping Center Signs. In accordance with Ramsey City Code <br />Section 9:03..06 (Site Plan Review), Subdivision .1 (Required Site Plan/Building' Design <br />Information, item 'c' (Signs), the developer shall submit a sign plan for approval, drawn to scale <br />with ~levations, at the time application is made. for site plan.. approval. The sign .plan shall <br />include but not be limited to the following information: number of signs, type of signs, sign <br />sizes, type of construction materials, sign 'messages, and proposed sign locatio.us". <br /> <br />9.12.09 <br /> <br />E-l and E-2 Employment Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed <br />fifteen (15) percent f)f the front building fac;ide~ . Si~ height shall not exceed the tope of the <br />parapet walf or, if no parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy. or marquee sign may be .located ori the outermost wall of any principal buildi~.g but .shall ) <br />not project more than sixteen (16) inches from the ~all to which the sign is to be affi~ed. Where. <br />. a principal building is devoted to two (2) or more permitted uses, the operator of each such uSe <br />may install a wall sign upon hislher proportionate share of the building wall to which the sign is <br />to be affixed. The maximum gross surface area of each such wall sign shall be d,etermined by <br />calculating the proportionate share of the area of the building waIl, including doors and windows <br />to which the sign is to be affixed and applying such proportion to the total peimitted wall -sign <br />aggregate gross surface area for the building. The gross surface area of a wall sign may be <br />increased by ten percent (1 0%) if such wall sign: <br /> <br />a. Consists' only of individual, outlined alphabetic, n~eric, and/or symbolic <br />characters without background. except provided by the building surface to <br />which the sign is to be affixed;..and <br /> <br />b. Any illumination, if any, is achieved tlU-ougb shielded illumination, shielded <br />silhouette lighting, or shielded. spot lighting but not any lighting where the <br />light source is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />S~bd. 2. Ground Signs. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign' <br />for each parcel. The gross surface area of a grounq sign shall not exceed one hundreo (100) <br />.square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two hundred <br />(200) square feet. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. <br /> <br />Directional Signs <br /> <br />a.' Directional or instructional signs are permitted in accordance with 99.12.03 <br />subd. 9. <br /> <br />b. Parking lot directional signs designating parking area entrances and exits are <br />limited to one (1) sign for each entrance and/or exit and shall not exceed <br />four (4) square feet for each exposed face.
