CASE # <br />• REVIEW RESULTS OF HIGHWAY 10 INSPECTION SERIES; <br />CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br />By: Zoning & Recycling Coordinator Chris Anderson <br />• <br />• <br />Background: <br />As Council may recall, City Staff initiated an inspection program this summer regarding all <br />businesses subject to the city motor vehicle sales, repair, and/or rental license. The focus of <br />these inspections was on parking standards (proper surface, designated customer parking, and <br />keeping merchandise out of rights-of-way) and sign regulations. Each affected business was <br />notified of the compliance check program prior to the initial inspections and that the intent was <br />to review the results of the inspections prior to issuing licenses for 2007. Businesses were also <br />reminded that continued operation of a business without a license is illegal. Staff has completed <br />the series of four (4) inspections per business and compiled the results. <br />Observations: <br />During the course of inspections, Staff encountered a number of businesses that were either in <br />full compliance or willing to make an effort to bring the property into compliance. <br />The following businesses were found to be in compliance or progressing toward compliance with <br />City Code regulations: <br />• Vehicle Pledge <br />• Lake Region RVs <br />• Given's Auto <br />• Car Guyz of Ramsey <br />• V -Tech Motorsports <br />• Hitech Motorsports <br />• Jack's Auto Repair <br />• Wilkins Used Cars <br />• Elite Lift & Truck <br />• M & G Antique Auto Sales <br />• RV World <br />• Pleasureland RV <br />• Shorewood RV Center <br />• Frank's RV Service <br />• J & D Auto Sales <br />• Druk Classic Auto <br />• D & H Auto Sales <br />• Dedicated Auto Sales <br />• E -Z Auto Sales, Inc. <br />• Majestic RV, Inc. <br />• North 40 Auto Sales, Inc. <br />• Perfect 10 Auto <br />• Pro Power Sports & Marine Inc. <br />• Rock Auto Sales <br />• Wholesale Direct LLC <br />• Escape RV <br />However, there are still unresolved issues, primarily concerning lack of required surfacing, <br />outdoor storage, and/or possible salvage operations at the following businesses: <br />• Accurate Automotive, Inc. <br />• Amazon Auto <br />• Auto & RV Ranch <br />• Blue Line Collision <br />• Frey's Auto & Truck Repair <br />• Import Auto LLC <br />• J.A.C.
