Consent # <br />ASK FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE 2007-2011 <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: <br />The Capital Improvement Program is a strategic planning tool to assist the City Council <br />in identifying proposed capital improvement projects over the next five years. The 2007- <br />2011 contains the following categories: Municipal Buildings, Park Improvements, Sewer <br />Utility, Site Acquisitions, Storm Water Utility, Street Improvements, Street Light Utility <br />and Water Utility Improvements. <br />A copy of the City's proposed 2007-2011 CIP was distributed at the work session of <br />December 4, 2006. <br />Per section 7.5 of the Ramsey City Charter, the City shall hold an annual public hearing <br />on the five-year Capital Improvement Plan and adopt it by resolution. Staff is asking that <br />a Public hearing be held at the regular meeting of January 9, 2007. <br />Council Action: Motion to authorize a public hearing on January 9, 2007, to adopt the <br />2007-2011 Capital Improvement Program. <br />Reviewed by: <br />James Norman, City Administrator <br />Consent: 12/21/06 <br />
