<br />Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-08-247A <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0771 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-2 MEDIUM RESIDENTIAL TO R-1 <br />RESIDENTIAL. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City received an application from E & G Development, LLC, to rezone <br />certain property in accordance with Section 9.03.03 (Zoning Amendments) of the Ramsey City <br />Code; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That E & G Development, LLC, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly applied <br />to rezone certain property from R-2 Medium Density Residential to R-l Residential. <br /> <br />2. That the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.03 of <br />the City Code on July 10, 2006, and said public hearing was properly advertised, and the <br />minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Outlot B, AMBER RIDGE, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />4. That the total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately 2 acres in size. <br /> <br />5. That the proposed rezoning is located within the Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />6. That the Subject Property is currently zoned R-2 Medium Density Residential which <br />permits up to 7 dwelling units per acre. <br /> <br />7. That the adjacent properties to the north and east are zoned R-I Residential and are <br />developed within the 3 units per acre restriction; the adjacent property to the south is zoned <br />R-2 Medium Density Residential, undeveloped, owned by the City, and contains wetlands; <br />the adjacent property to the west is T.R. #47. <br /> <br />8. That the Applicant is proposing to rezone the Subject Property to R-l Residential and <br />develop it with single family dwelling units, which are not permitted in the R-2 Residential <br />district. <br /> <br />9. That on February 2, 2006, and February 21, 2006, the Planning Commission and the City <br />Council, respectively, reviewed the sketch plan for the proposed subdivision and expressed <br />support of the proposal to develop the Subject Property with single family dwelling units. <br />
