He indicated they have no problems with <br />the adjustment recommended by staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmel11bers Olson, Cook, Jeffrey, Pearson, <br />and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to introduce an <br />ordinance to vacate a portion of the drainage and utility easements at 14438 Iodine Street NW, as <br />legally described and presented, exclusive of Parcel A; and to direct staff to approach the owner <br />of the Parcel B property with the offer to either purchase an additional easement over Parc~IB or <br />to fill and restore this area to an elevation higher than the 100 year flood elevation. . <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Jeffrey requested further informatipn regarding the <br />elevation of Parcel B. City Engineer Jankowski explained the 100 year.fldod elevation is slightly <br />above 860. The comer on Parcel B is up to the 860 contour, so thetri8.11glewould need to be <br />filled approximately one foot. The property owner will be contacted to see if this is what h,e <br />would like. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion carried.
