<br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing & Adopt Qrdinan~e Adopting the 2007 Schedule of Rates, <br />Fees and Charges <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:31 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearine: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund explained effective June)O, 1~91, Ordinance #91-08 amended S7.01.1O of <br />the City Code to allow the City Council t()!annuallfset fees. The City is allowed to annually <br />adopt the Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges by Resolution, but the City has chosen to adopt <br />its entire schedule by ordinance. Ordinance adoptiollproviqes the opportunity for comments at a <br />public hearing and gives adequate time (3~ days) .:beforethe rates go into effect. Ms. Lund <br />advised the proposed ordinance was introd1.l4eq at the November 14,2006 City Council meeting <br />with a pubic hearing to be held November 28~ 2006'... TP.e Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges <br />reflect the rates and fees to be charged by th'e City (or services beginning January 1,2007. Any <br />amendments to this schedule during 2007 witI need tt>be made by ordinance. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
