&commendation:
4

As already stated, the property is zoned E-1 Employment, which provides, some flexibility in
allowing outdoor storage through the permitting process. However, one icondition of open and
outdoor storage in this district is that storage areas are required to be surfaced with either: bituminous
pavement or concrete. Staff is amenable to approving an interim use permit for the outside ~to~age
ofRV s and/or travel trailers for up to five (5) years if the surface of the storage l;lIeaisimproved with
paving or concrete. Staff would recommend approval of the request contingent upon: I) installation
of pavement in the proposed storage area no later than July 1,2007 and (2) the applicant deposit with
the City a financial guarantee prior to any units being moved onto the site. The financial guarantee
will help first ensure the timely installation of paving, and secondly, to ensur~ that upon expiration, of
the permit, all units are removed from the site.

Commission Action:

Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt Findings of Fact # _ relating to arequest from
RV World, Inc. for an interim use permit for outdoor storage on the propetftY at 6300 BunkerLflke
Blvd NW.

-and-

Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt Resolution #07-01-__ declaring terms o'f the
Interim Use Permit to allow for outdoor storage on the property at 6300 Bunker Lake Blvd NW,
based on the fmdings of fact and contingent on installation ,of a proper surface and submitting a
fmancial guarantee.

-or-

Motion to recommend that the City Council deny the interim use permit based on fmdings

pc: 1/4/07

Review Checklist:
Asst.
