Further discussion: Police Chief Way explained if the second patrol officer is approved in the budget he would like to have the two officers begin training at the same time to save costs. Finance Officer Lund indicated final adoption of the 2007 budget is scheduled for December 12, 2006. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Jeffrey, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. 2) Consider Reclassification of Senior Building Maintenance Worker Position to Building Maintenance Supervisor Human Resources Manager Reed Kone explained Mr. Dan Bray has been employed with the City of Ramsey since August 21, 1989 and is currently employed as Senior Building Maintenance Worker. As Senior Building Maintenance Worker, Mr. Bray has been performing supervisory duties as needed and requested. The Assistant City Administrator is recommending that the Senior Building Maintenance Worker position be reclassified to Building Maintenance Supervisor. With City Council approval, Mr. Bray's 2006 pay rate will be $22.82 per hour. The pay increase for the remainder of 2006 will be funded with general fund dollars that were designated for other positions but were not used because the other positions were hired later in the year than expected. In 2007, the increase of approximately $3,500 will be funded with general personnel dollars from positions that will not be hired at the beginning of the year. Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adopt Resolution #06-11-352 to consider reclassification of Senior Building Maintenance Worker position to Building Maintenance Supervisor. Mayor Gamec stated Mr. Bray was instrumental in the move to the new municipal center. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Pearson, Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT 1) Upcoming Meetings Mayor Gamec announced the Anoka County Elected Officials meeting scheduled for November 29, 2006. Mayor Gamec suggested the December 26, 2006, City Council meeting be cancelled due to the date being the day after Christmas.
