Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br />RESOLUTION #26-003
<br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTH VALLEY, INC. FOR HIGH POINT
<br />STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #25-05
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the High Point
<br />Subdivision as identified within the 2025 — 2034 Capital Improvement Program; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-198, adopted July 23, 2024, the
<br />City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Hakanson Anderson for topographic survey of the
<br />project area in the amount of $7,650.00; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-220, adopted August 12, 2024, the
<br />City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies, Inc., for a
<br />geotechnical report of the project area in the amount of $8,880.00; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-340, adopted November 26, 2024,
<br />the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for High Point Street
<br />Reconstructions, Improvement Project #25-05; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-042, adopted February 25, 2025,
<br />the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized
<br />advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-071, adopted April 22, 2025, a
<br />contract was awarded to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $1,366,954.38 for
<br />said improvements; and
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #25-100, adopted May 13, 2025,
<br />Change Order No. 1 was approved in the amount of $29,738.44 for High Point Street Reconstruction,
<br />Improvement Project #25-05; and
<br />WHEREAS, as of January 13, 2026, $1,398,157.10 has been paid to date; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for improvement project #25-05,
<br />High Point Street Reconstruction, in the amount of $38,375.24.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota for
<br />Improvement Project #25-05, High Point Street Reconstruction in the amount of $38,375.24.
<br />2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to
<br />sign the release form for this payment.
<br />3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the
<br />date of January 13, 2026.
