CONSIDER THE CREATION OF EDA SUB-COMMITTEES <br />By: Jim Norman, City Administrator <br />Megan Wald, Community Development Assistant <br /> <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />It is anticipated that the EDA and City Council will have lengthy agendas in the months and years to come due to future development and redevelopment issues that need to be addressed. <br /> A method of handling the anticipated heavy workload is to create sub-committees and/or task forces. <br /> <br />Recently a suggestion was made to create a Town Center Task Force to handle the issues related to the creation of the Ramsey Town Center. Administrator Norman was approached by Dave <br /> Elvig, who has shown a great deal of interest in the town center and the creation of a Town Center Task Force. Mr. Elvig has been invited to make a presentation during the EDA meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />As the EDA may be aware, the City has many housing needs and issues that are not currently being addressed. <br /> <br />Housing issues and the proposed Ramsey Town Center will most likely have EDA involvement and implications.
