<br />. <br /> <br />CA# \ \ <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO RECRUIT A <br />\ PART -TIME POLICE TECHNICIAN <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Backl!round <br /> <br />The Police Chiefhas expressed a need for an additional part-time (.5 FTE) police <br />technician for 2007. That need is based on the overall increase in the volume of work in <br />the Police Department. With City Council approval, staff would like authorization to <br />begin the recruitment process for a part-time police technician. <br /> <br />Member of the City Council will recall that the part-time police technician position was <br />approved as part of the 2007 budget. The position will be funded with general fund <br />dollars. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council grant authorization to begin the recruitment <br />process for a part-time police technician.
