proposed signs is to highlight the tenants of the site for Highway 10 traffic and to help identify .
the Town Center site in general. The proposed free standing ground sign would have a total sign
area of 253 square feet per sign face and the monument sign would have a total of fifty. four (54)
square feet per sign face.

City Staff recommends approval of the request to exceed the sign size restrictions and for
multiple ground signs on a single parcel contingent upon receiving a: written agreement from
Sophia-Ramsey LLC regarding relocation. of the signs.

Citizen Input

Ms. Ann Knuth, representative of Sophia Ramsey, LLC, stated they are looking for more signage
to promote Ramsey Town Center and to help their tenants with exposure to. Highway 10 in
particular.

Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated the proposed locations for the two
signs are the southwest and southeast corners of the property. There is a drainage and utility
easement as well as aConnexus Energy easement across both proposed sign locations. Staff has
informed the applicant that to erect signs within this easement area would require a written
agreement acknowledging that it would be the property owner's responsibility to relocate the
sign( s) if authorized work necessitated it. Staff is also working with Comiexus Energy to
coordinate exact locations to ensure that there would not be any conflict with utilities and/or
future expansion of utilities. .

'Commissioner. Trites Rolle inquired about the applicant's reaction to the easement agreement,
and whether Connexus Energy has responded regarding the agreement.

Ms. Knuth replied Sophia Ramsey, LLC is willing to work with the City regarding the
agreement.

Commissioner Vall Scoy inquired about the status of the Town Center Advisory Committee.

Ms. Knuth indicated there is an informal Town Center group comprised of the owners of
residential and retail portions of Town Center. The signage plan has been shown to the group
. and they were pleased with the way it promotes Town Center. Community Development
Director Trudgeon and the Ramsey Technical Advisory Committee have reviewed the signage
plan as well.

Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Trites Rolle, to close the public
hearing.

Motion Carried.
