<br />responsible bidder. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 23-percent brings the total project costs to
<br />$2,040,642.09
<br />The bid is 20-percent lower than the engineer's estimate, primarily due to lower than anticipated excavation,
<br />aggregate, and earthwork prices.

<br />Bolton & Menk has submitted a proposal for construction staking and as -built survey of said improvements for
<br />the total not -to -exceed amount of $64,116.00. Construction staking is included in the indirect costs, and is
<br />proposed to be paid for by Pavement Management and Storm Sewer Utility funds.
<br />The CIP level estimate had a total estimated project cost of $2,618,136, which includes street costs of $2,276,640
<br />and storm sewer costs of $341,496. The final project costs may change depending upon bid prices and actual
<br />construction quantities.
<br />City staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part
<br />of staff's normal duties.
<br />Recommendation:
<br />Staff recommends adopting Resolution #26-048 accepting bids and awarding a contract to North Valley, Inc. for
<br />the total amount of $1,659,058.61 for Countryside Estates Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #26-04.
