• June 30, 2026 Contractor completes improvements The proposed improvements are designated as City Improvement Project #26-09, 2026 Crack Seal Improvements. Notification: Advertisements were published in the Anoka Union Herald on January 30 and February 6, 2026. Bids were also advertised on-line on Quest CDN. Letters are not mailed to property owners for crack seal improvements due to the relatively minor impacts to property owners and the traveling public during these projects. Engineering staff maintains a project webpage which will be updated with the most current project information. Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: Observations: IP 26-09 and IP 26-10 engineer's estimates are based off of final plans and actual bid prices. IP 26-11 estimate is a CIP level estimate based off of costs per mile. Alternatives: Motion to adopt Resolution #26-066 accepting bids and awarding a contract to MP Asphalt Maintenance for the total amount of $149,478.00 for 2026 Crack Seal Improvements, Improvement Project #26-09. Funding Source: On March 3, 2026 a total of seven (7) bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 5-percent brings the total project costs to $156,951.90. The bid is 25-percent less than the engineer's estimate. The city budgeted $650,000 in 2026 for contracted street maintenance services including; crack sealing, pavement rejuvenation, and refreshing pavement markings. The estimated costs for pavement maintenance improvements are: • IP 26-09 Crack Seal $156,951.90 • IP 26-10 Pavement Rejuvenation $327,922.41 • IP 26-11 MSA Pavement Markings $8,000 • Total Pavement Maintenance Costs $492, 874.31 o Staff recommends remaining budgeted funds be guided for pavement patching services as needed.
