<br />Council discussed the list of possible search firms and the interviewing process. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to schedule 45 minutes for each interview, and that the interviews <br />be scheduled on the hour. A 10 minute presentation will be allowed for the firm being <br />interviewed followed by prepared questions from the Council. All four interviews should be <br />scheduled for January 30, 2007 beginning at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen requested staff to provide the Council with the list of interview <br />questions approximately one week prior to the interviews. <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed indicated there will be a short session during the strategic <br />planning session on January 19 and 20 where the Council discusses this process. She will have <br />the questions formulated for Council with a discussion of how the interviews will be structured. <br /> <br />4) Option Property Agreement with PSD LLC <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Nelson reviewed that at the December 28, 2006 City Council <br />meeting, an agreement with PSD LLC for the development of the RTC option properties was <br />approved. Several revisions were made during the Council discussion to the proposed agreement <br />and those revisions were provided to PSD LLC late last week. PSD LLC has responded with <br />alternate language regarding the term and cancellation of the agreement. The following alternate <br />language provided by PSD LLC would replace item no. 4 of the agreement that was approved on <br />December 28th: <br />This Agreement will grant PSD a six month term starting when the City of Ramsey takes <br />possession of the Option Property to submit a plan of development for the Option <br />Property. If a plan has not been submitted that meets the City terms listed above then this <br />Agreement can be canceled without cause at the option of either party with a 30 day <br />written notice. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Nelson indicated they would likely need to flush out concerns <br />relating to the possibility of a plan not being submitted that meets the terms of items 1, 2 and 3. <br />Staff has seen a rough sketch site plan for the community center/fitness centerlhotel property, but <br />nothing official. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated PSD LLC was informed the changes to <br />the agreement were approved by Council and any additional changes would need to be approved <br />by Council. If the language change that has been proposed by PSD LLC is acceptable to Council <br />it will be included on the agenda of the January 23rd Council meeting for formal approval. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen expressed concern that "meets the City terms listed above" is very <br />vague. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Nelson indicated there are zoning and development standards in place <br />that would need to be met. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / January 9, 2007 <br />Page 6 of7 <br />
