<br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Objective: Provide effective law enforcement services andfire protection/suppression <br />services for the Community. <br /> <br />POLICE WORKPLAN <br /> <br />1. Increase Staff of Patrol by adding additional personnel. <br />2. Expand the use of the evidence module for computerized monitoring of <br />property and ~vidence. <br />3. Implement the use of case management in the record system for case <br />assignments and tracking. <br />4. Continue to expand Maintain the imaging of police records into the Anoka <br />County Records project. <br />5. ' Continue '.vith the implementation of Maintain and update cellular digital <br />communications capabilities to the laptop computers in all squad cars.-te <br />CPRMS technology, providing faster data transfer. <br />6. Implementation of computerized shift scheduling system. <br />7. Maintain an increased level of selective traffic enforcement and control in <br />neighborhoods through special assignment and the use of the radar trailer. <br />14. Increase code enforcement by the addition of a second Community Service <br />Officer. <br />15. Continuation of Child Identification Program. established in the previous' <br />. year., <br />16. Continue with the Provide interaction with elementary school, as needed, for <br />tobacco, alcohol and drug awareness. program in the elementary school, as <br />needed for the district health curriculum in the school. <br />17. Continue to conduct compliance checks on sales to minors for alcohol. <br />23. Coordinate fe:tlrthfifth annual Safety Camp for children with Ramsey Fire <br />Department. <br />24.
