<br />Utilities Work Plan <br />1. Continue efforts to assure accurate water billing. <br />2. Assure hydrant clearing and inspection efforts during snow season. (on <br />going) <br />3. Expand accountability procedures to ensure accuracy. <br />4. Create a zone map for exercising water utility valves in preparation of <br />dividing the task seasonally. <br />5. Create a plan to bring meter reading and billing process in-house. <br />6. Communicate maintenance events to public prior to activity. (Website, Cable <br />TV, etc.) (On-going) <br />7. License appropriate public works staff for operation of sanitary sewage <br />disposal systems. <br />8. Research increased security at water supply stations <br />9. Continue maintenance in City cemeteries. <br />3. Complete Master Trail Plan after intra-agency review. (2006) <br />4. Implement 2006 Parks Capital Improvement Plan, (annual revision) <br />5. Begin process of planning for additional community park north of Trott <br />Brook. (Engineering to facilitate) <br />6. Assist with Lions park building development <br />7. Complete greenways land acquisition utilizing LCMR grant (complete in <br />2006) <br />8. Continue year-round maintenance oftrails and walks with sidewalk <br />maintenance machine. <br />9. Continue monitoring the number of trees saved/relocated to be compared to <br />future years. <br />10. Begin planning for Recre ational Administrative Planning. <br />11. Identify and complete a t est of bituminous trail installation utilizing newly <br />acquired trail paver equipment. <br /> <br />Public Works Department <br />1. Research education opportunities for specialized training. (ongoing) <br />2. Budget for the purchase of hand held 800MHz radios to enhance <br />communications with public safety during large storm events and disasters. <br />3. Finish landscaping of Public Works campus including irrigation. <br />4. Implement 2006 CIP (Capital Improvements Plan) and CEP (Capital <br />Equipment Plan) <br />5. Continue facility planningfor 10 years including 2007 funding, also begin <br />process of PCA property acquisitionfor future Public Works Campus. <br />6.
