<br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7 :07 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner VanScoy asked whether the standards for the Public-Quasi Public Zoning District <br />have been published. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Daines replied the standards are located in Section 9.20.29. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler indicated the list of permitted uses states that a site plan is required for <br />any development in the district and defers to the B-1 Business District for performance standards. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that the <br />City Council adopt Findings of Fact favorable of rezoning certain property from R-l Residential <br />and E-2 Employment to Public-Quasi Public. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Levine, Cleveland, <br />Hunt, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that the <br />City Council introduce an ordinance to rezone properties from R-l Residential and E-2 <br />Employment to Public-Quasi Public, based on the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Levine, Cleveland, <br />Hunt, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Brauer. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a <br />Telecommunications Tower; Case of T -Mobile USA <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 7:10 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearinf! <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Daines stated T -Mobile has submitted a request to construct a <br />telecommunications tower on the fire station property located at 15050 Armstrong Boulevard <br />NW. This tower will serve as a replacement for the existing tower at 14622 Ferret Street, NW, <br />which will be purchased by the City as part of the Ramsey Crossings redevelopment project. <br />Associate Planner Daines advised while City Code requires co-location of telecommunications <br />towers where possible, it is staff s opinion that the applicant has made a reasonable attempt to <br />identify alternate locations. The setback and height requirements for towers within the Public- <br />Quasi Public District defer to the requirements in the B-1 Business District.
