Board Member Bentz suggested adding MNRAM version 3 to the reference list.

Board Member Olds suggested referencing the DNR in the "What to do if the Wetland
Has Been Damaged" section.

Chairperson McDilda asked if there was any way to move the Do's and Don'ts section of
the book up to the beginning of the book because of its importance, even though he liked
the current flow of the book.

Board Member Freeburg asked ifthe Do's and Don'ts could be in the book twice.

Board Member Max concurred that the Do's and Don'ts are really good.

Board Member Bentz suggested doing bullet points on the back of the book.

Chairperson McDilda stated that as it comes to the final version, it could contain a
foldout.

Board Member aids stated that if someone doesn't know what a wetland is, the Do's and
Don'ts won't matter.

Chairperson McDilda stated that the flow of the book is great, but people may not read
through everything to ever get to the Do's and Don'ts.

Board Member aids concurred that the dos and don'ts need to be identified early, but not
without the benefit of knowing what a wetland is.

Board Member Max stated that Do's and Don'ts entice the reader to read further. He
suggested one or two for each section.

Chairperson McDilda suggested that the EPB give the Wetland Guidebook more thought
for the February meeting.

Board Member Sibilski suggested placing the Do's on the front and Don'ts on the back.

Board Member Max stated he will work on that concept for the next EPB meeting.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that he added the picture of the wetland
water cycle in as a placeholder. Coordinator Anderson stated he didn't feel the picture
depicted the intent of the EPB when the topic of water cycle came up initially.
Coordinator Anderson stated that he couldn't find anything that pictorially showed what
the wetland water cycle was.

Board Member Max asked if the wetland water cycle is different from the typical hydric
cycle.

Environmental Policy Board/ January 8, 2006
Page 11 of 15
