CASE # <br />REVIEW RFP FOR COMPREHENSIVE WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />By: Leonard Linton, Civil Engineer H <br />• <br />Background: <br />The City is required to revise their Comprehensive Plan in 2008. One portion of the plan is the <br />Comprehensive Water Resources Management Plan. The current plan was created in 1980 and <br />revised in 1987. The plan for the Southeast quadrant of the City was updated in 1997. 'Significant <br />development has occurred since. the plan was first created. The request for proposal is attached for <br />review. The proposed schedule is on the first page and will allows almost a full year for selection of <br />the consultant and preparation of the plan. The water resources plan should be completed well in <br />advance of the Comprehensive Plan for the City so that recommendations from the Water Resources <br />plan can be reflected in the appropriate sections of the Comprehensive Plan <br />Funding Source: <br />Staff anticipates this study will cost upwards of $160,000. It will be funded from the Storm Water <br />Utility. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the RFP be approved by the committee and forwarded to the City Council.. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to recommend the RFP be approved by the City Council. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer <br />PW: 01/16/07 <br />—271- <br />
