Some of this has been and can be addressed through Comp Plan Updates and Ramsey' but the focus /discussion should be broader than land use planning. Recommendation 3. Expand Strategic Plan a. Multi -year implementation of vision b. Guidance for organizational change c. Context for service delivery /level of service d. Advance planning for major facilities /events e. Internal coordination and branding • Status 3. Ongoing process — progress on recommendation #2 (Develop vision for the future) is important to the success of recommendation #3. _. Councilmembers commented on the following: • Possibility of moving the skate park up sooner than 2008 • 'Likelihood of private interest in an indoor skating rink if there is available land —possible inclusion of curling rink/volleyball /soccer component Recommendation 4. Update Financing Plan for Growth and Quality a. Determine financing philosophy b. Link strategic plan, service levels and financing plan c. Commit to long -term financial strategy Status 4. On -going Fiscal impact analysis should be updated annually, will be updated in 2007. ■ Will incorporate the slow down in Town Center and include Ramsey Crossings and other development; will determine where the tax rate comes in based on the new growth.
