An ordinance has been adopted, and providing it is not petitioned against by residents, it will
change the City's form of government from mayor- council to council - manager effective
2011. The form of government is set for four years in the future. Estimated software cost of
$40,000, plus the need for staffing.
• Current cost of $50,000 to 60,000 per year to Connexus to handle utility billing.
There has been a loss of approximately $650,000 over a three year period due to
billing /reading errors. Once the billing is brought back in house it will bring it back
under the City's control and will provide citizens with the ability to have their
questions answered when they call the City.
Council direction Conduct a cost/benefit analysis the true raw cost of this service.
The worksession was recessed at 11:19 a.m. and reconvened at 11:51 a.m.
2) Discussion Regarding 2007 Goals
Mr. Larry Bakken facilitated a discussion with Council and the Management Team regarding
Council goals for 2007.
