■ Add: Conduct space needs analysis for future facilities /land • o It was noted this analysis could include a public works facility, range, kennel, and a recycling facility. Goal No. 6: Modify Comprehensive Plan, Transportation Section, to include a multi -modal transit plan that specifically includes the Northstar Station. Goal No. 7: Advocate with other agencies to develop a Regional Transportation Plan to support the needs of the Ramsey community. ■ Combine into one goal. ■ Additional performance focus point: Secure rail station stop (also as sub -par under Ramsey Town Center) ■ Suggestion: Additional performance focus point to implement program eliminating dirt driveways abutting City streets - Move to Public Works Committee for discussion. Goal No. 8: Create a Technology Plan to provide access to a state -of -art technology network throughout the City. The following performance focus points were added: ■ Complete City Technology Plan ■ Explore City Options (other communities) ■ Exploration Committee It was noted the long term goals have been reduced to 6 due to the completion of goal no. 4 and • the merging of goal nos. 6 and 7. The following additional goals were created: Communications The following was discussed: ■ Ramsey Resident is an important communication tool. Importance of enacting a culture change in how communication is, dealt with internally and externally. o Sug estion: Review how existing communication tools are currently being utilized and where to fill in the gaps. ■ Importance of getting the message out that the City process is transparent and open. o Suggestions: Possibility of occasional work sessions on camera; more debate on camera; schedule a meeting room open to anyone who wants to participate to address concerns raised during the citizen input portion of meetings. ■ The Open Space Technology included in the Ramsey process will include citizen participation. ■ Ward groups led by citizens. ■ Question and Answer segment to be included in Ramsey Resident, QCTV, and website. ■ Website bulletin board with councilmember response. o Concerns expressed. Councilmembers debating each other on -line; open meeting law. Communication should be frequent, thorough and interactive. ■ Communication should become a City value — enhanced communication with citizens, • within city hall, within and among staff and Council.
