We were blessed with great <br />weather and another successful event. <br />A few highlights for you.... <br />297 youth attended the <br />Teen Dance on Fri. night <br />80 cars attended the Classic Car Show <br />27 crafters displayed at the Craft Show <br />A 10 yr. old girl won the <br />Women's Division in the 5K Run <br />57 entries were in our parade <br />(St. Paul Winter Carnival Vulcans <br />even made an appearance!) <br />The Rockin' Hollywoods rocked <br />a crowd of 1,000+ people! <br />(and yes, they will be back next year!) <br />Alot of fun was had by all and we <br />received many positive comments. Plans <br />are already underway for next year's <br />events which will take place on Sept. 14 <br />& 15th, 2002. There will be a parade again <br />next year, so mark your calendars to be <br />sure to get your entries started early. Great <br />prizes will be up for grabs so get creative! <br />Here's the Catch.... <br />VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Our <br />committee is comprised of 10 dedicated <br />volunteers. However, they are in need of <br />3 -4 more high- energy, creative, fun <br />individuals with leadership abilities. We will <br />begin meeting in November and generally <br />meet every 4 -6 weeks up until 6 weeks <br />prior to the event. Then our meetings are <br />scheduled more frequently. Since we don't <br />meet that often, our meetings generally run <br />2 hours in length. If you are interested, <br />Continued on Page 4 <br />
