14 <br />FREE CABLE SERVICE <br />FOR VIEWING <br />LOCAL PUBLIC <br />ACCESS CHANNELS <br />All Ramsey City meetings (City Council, <br />Planning Commission, etc.) are broadcast and <br />replayed on local cable channel 16. This is a great <br />way to stay informed. You can have access to the <br />local public access channels (15,16,18 and 19) even <br />ifyou do not subscribe to paid cable service; however, <br />cable service must be available in your neighborhood. <br />This service is called Universal PEG service. <br />Universal PEG service is installed FREE of <br />charge to one outlet (standard install, 200 feet or less) <br />and there is no on -going fee ifyou have a cable ready <br />television set. This service only includes the local <br />public access channels, not local broadcast channels <br />such as 4, 5, etc. AT &T installs an a/b switch that <br />allows you to switch between your rooftop antenna <br />for broadcast channels to the cable feed for the local <br />access channels. We thank our <br />residents and businesses for your continued support! We were <br />able to donate over $5,000 back into our community. Thank you <br />for a great year! <br />This year we are "planting seeds and cultivating spirits" <br />within our community and membership. Our leaders for 2002- <br />03 are: Karin Hagfors -Maly, President; Sandi Bulthuis, State <br />Delegate; Laura Uecker, Internal Vice President; Tracy Stanley, <br />Membership Vice President; Jodi Jordan - Huffman, Secretary; <br />and, Julie Hammel, Treasurer. Thank you for donating your time <br />to our organization and community! The officers extend a warm <br />welcome to our newest members: Cindy Malek, Debbie Petersen, <br />and Tammy Williams. <br />We congratulate Erika Nelson who is the 2002 recipient <br />of the Ramsey Women of Today Scholarship. We wish you the <br />best in continuing your education and future endeavors. <br />The Ramsey Women of Today have a very active program <br />in store this autumn. Please mark your calendars with events we <br />are sponsoring or participating in: <br />September 14: Happy Days booth and parade <br />October 25: Community Halloween Party in <br />conjunction with Ramsey Elementary <br />Community Education Program <br />November 16: Fifth Annual Craft Show at Ramsey <br />Elementary <br />November 24: Magical Night of Giving at Northtown <br />Mall <br />Our Fifth Annual Craft Show is quickly approaching. It <br />will be held on November 16 at Ramsey Elementary School, <br />10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Booth space is still available. Our general <br />membership meetings, which are open to the public, are held on <br />the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. We meet in the <br />lower level of Ramsey City Hall. Our fall meetings are on <br />September 24, October 22, and November 26. Please come <br />and check us out!
