In a tax increment financing
district, this value sharing can either result in a tax
increase for other properties in the municipality or
result in a decrease in tax increment financing district
revenue depending on how the tax increment
financing district is established.
Tax Increment Financing Districts #1, #2, and
#4 located in the City of Ramsey do not share their
growth in commercial- industrial property tax values.
This results in an increase in property taxes for other
properties located in the City of Ramsey. For taxes
payable in 2001, this increase in taxes on other
properties amounted to $143,001.
It is not important what you believe, only that you believe. — Anonymous
NOTICE TO ANY
INTERESTED
RESIDENTS
The EDA is currently
discussing the possible
creation of a Housing
Commission.The
Commission could discuss
topics concerning residential
developments in the
community and work with
City owned property
appropriate for housing
development.
