<br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />Directions to the Recyding Drop-Off Site: <br /> <br />Take Ramsey Blvd to 143rd Ave. <br />Go East to Jaspar St. <br />Go South on Jaspar St. <br /> <br />The Public Works Facility is located at: <br />14100 Jaspar S1. <br /> <br />CHILD FINGERPRINTING AVAILABLE <br />By APPOINTMENT ONLY <br /> <br />According to the National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, <br />Runaway, and Thrown away Children (October of2002), there are nearly <br />800,000 children reported missing each year (more than 2,000 per day). <br />58,200 children are abducted by non-family members while 115 children <br />are the victims of the most serious, most long-term abductions. <br />Precautionary measures include l(eeping a complete description <br />of your child, taking color photographs every six months, l(eeping copies <br />of your child's fingerprints, a sample of DNA, and maintaining medical <br />records and dental charts. <br />The Ramsey Police Department will be fingerprinting Ramsey <br />children by APPOINTMENT ONLY on Thursday, April 8, 2004 from <br />9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the police department. We use CompuKid, a <br />digital fingerprinting and camera system. Parents receive a colored copy <br />of their child's information as well as a disk that can be updated as neces- <br />sary. Infants and children under two can be photographed only with <br />fingerprints added at a later date. To schedule an appointment, call <br />the Ramsey Police Department at (763) 427-6812. All scheduled <br />appointments will receive information forms in the mail to complete and <br />return to the police department no later than two weeks prior to the event <br />date. <br /> <br />PLEASE NOTE <br /> <br />Due to the high volume of building in our community, the City <br />requires at least two to three days notice for all building inspections and <br />five to six days for building permit approval. <br /> <br />Fall seven times, stand up eight. <br /> <br />TREE SALE AND <br />ENVIRONMENTAL EXPO <br />SATURDAY, MAY 1,2004, <br />7 A.M. -1 P.M. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey and Ramsey <br />Elementary School are partnering to bring you <br />the 28th annual Tree Sale and 12th annual <br />Environmental Expo along with a spring Arbor <br />Day celebration. Local nurseries have been <br />invited to have a wide selection of fruit, nut, <br />shade trees, and shrubs available at sale prices. <br />The size range includes: seedlings, potted and <br />bare root saplings and large balled and burlap <br />2" diameter transplants. <br />There will be an Arbor Day Program <br />(10:00 a.m.) and tree planting (11 :00 a.m.) with <br />the School Principal and City Mayor. <br />Lyle Bradley will again lead a bird <br />wall( for parents and children through the <br />school nature area at 7:00 a.m. The tree sale <br />begins at 7:00 a.m. and runs until 1 :00 p.m. <br />Programs and exhibits are 8:00 a.m. to 1 :00 <br />p.m. <br />Ecology, Food, Farm, Wildlife and <br />Biology are themes for this event. We <br />welcome local nature artists, wildlife crafters <br />and woodcrafters to demonstrate their hobby <br />and display [for sale] their local home made <br />art, toys, birdhouses, and utensils. Non profit <br />organizations are also invited to introduce their <br />organizations and their green mission.
