FREE EMERGENCY CELL PHONES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS The Ramsey Police Department has FREE cell phones that have been refurbished to be used in an emergency for dialing 911 only, for any senior citizen in the Anoka County area. Saturday, March 20, 2004, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. National Guard Armory, 408 East Main Street, Anoka Whether you're redecorating, financing, remodeling, repairing, or landscaping, the North Suburban Home Improvement Show is the place to go! Close to 50 local contractors and businesses offering home improvement services, door prizes, and products, will be on hand to provide ideas, answer questions, and demonstrate their product. Seminars will be presented throughout the day. The Dayton Women of Today will be selling food and beverages, and sponsors will be handing out freshly popped free popcorn. BIKE HELMET FITTING & SALE Bike-related crashes l(ill over 900 people every year and send about 567,000 more to hospital emergency rooms with injuries. More than 40 percent of all head injury-related deaths and approximately three- fourths of head injuries occur among children ages 14 and under. Wearing a bike helmet can reduce the risk of head injury by 850/0. Anoka County SAFE KIDS wants to make sure your family has bil(e helmets. During the months of April and May, we will be traveling around the county distributing and PROPERLY FITTING bike helmets for Anol(a County residents. A schedule for bike helmet fittings and sales will be available at the Ramsey Police Department and on the City of Ramsey web site in early March.
