Also individual members can do their own specialty
act: such as singing, dancing, karate demos, or anything else that they are
interested in. Seven Cheerful Chuggers acted out a sl(it called "Too Much Junk
Food" on behalf of their club. "Too Much Junk Food" was judged as one of the
top eight out of fifteen skits performed. They will perform it again at the finals on
March 23rd where one act, which includes sl(its, individual music acts, and plays,
will be chosen to perform at the State Fair. Club members, Joy Betsy and Jessica
Hanson, received honorable mentions for their acting in "Too Much Junk Food,"
and club member Sadie Miller also received an honorable mention for her individual
performance on the piano.
The Cheerful Chuggers are now preparing for the quickly arriving County
Fair in July. At the Fair, each member will exhibit at least one project in any
category to be judged. The club also worl(s together to make a club scrapbool(,
a club banner, and a club container garden. The Cheerful Chuggers also take
part in their community. In April, they cleaned a section of Ramsey Boulevard,
they performed their sl(it "Too Much Junk Food" for the Ramsey Seniors, and
every month they make a craft for Meals on Wheels. Yet this club is not all work
and no play. After their business meeting in March they had a pajama pizza
party. Each year the club members vote on a fall, winter, and summer fun event,
as well as the club getting together in June at Lake George for a picnic instead of
a meeting.
If you are interested injoining a 4-H Club, please contact the University
of Minnesota Extension Service, Anol( County at 763-755-1280.

FREE DOLLARS
INTO SENSE CLASSES

Anoka County Extension Service Staff and Dollar Worl(s Volunteers will
present Free Dollars Into Sense classes on May 18 and June 15, 10:00 a.m.
at the Bunker Hills Activities Center (550 Bunl(er Lake Blvd, Andover) and again
at 7:00 p.m. at the Northtown Library (711 County Rd lONE, Blaine).
