Volunteers
include children in "everyday sorts of activities" as they build
their friendship. They meet weekly for at least one year.
Currently 30 children in Anoka County are waiting for their
Kinship friend. One of these children is II-year old "Sara"
who is a friendly 6th grader living in Andover. Sara thinks it
sounds fun to have a Kinship Friend who will spend time with
her. She has faced the loss of her dad and grandma and rarely
sees her mother. She is interested in learning to do crafts such
as sewing or lmitting. Sara also enjoys bowling, taking pictures,
shopping, and being active. If you or your family is interested
in learning more about volunteering with Kinship, please call
Kinship today at 763-862-6755 or go to www.kinship.org.

I've learned. . . That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
