4

RAMSEY
LIONS

The Ramsey Lions have been as
active as ever this past fall and winter. They
participated in Happy Days, the Anoka
Halloween parade and provided Halloween
hayrides. They distributed food basl(ets at
Thanksgiving and Christmas, and sponsored
55-Alive driving courses for local seniors.
Some of the donations went towards
eyeglasses and hearing aids for needy
children, meal-on-wheels and local families
stricl(en by tragedy.
The pace slows a bit in winter as there
are no public events, but the Lions are always
busy serving the community. Shortly, they will
start planning for the community picnic which
is scheduled, as always, for the first Saturday
in June.
Lions come from all wall(s of life.
Ramsey Lions currently have 47 members
with a common interest in helping our fellow
citizens and improving our community. Lions
donate many hours to charitable causes for
no personal gain. They work hard but try to
have fun along the way. If you are interested
in joining, please visit the website
www.RamseyLions.org for more information
about the club.

BOULEVARD
STAKING POLICY

City of Ramsey policy prohibits the
use of metal fence posts and other non-
breakaway materials in the public right of
way. City staff will remove materials that
pose a threat to public safety or interfere with
maintenance operations. Wooden lath are
available in limited quantities at City Hall for
use in marking the boulevard for snow removal
purposes. Small fiberglass poles and
aluminum poles with reflectors may also be
used, but will be the responsibility of the
homeowner to maintain.
The purpose of the policy is to remove
stal(ing from the public right of way that
causes an unnecessary threat to public safety
and which hinders snow removal operations.

ATTENTION:
MUNICIPAL UTILITY CUSTOMERS

The 2005 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges was adopted by
the Ramsey City Council at their regular City Council meeting on Novem-
ber 23, 2004.

Service
Sewer Rates:
Residential (per qtr)
Commercial (per qtr)

2003 Rate

2004 Rate

60.50
60.50 +2.67/1000
gal. in excess of
20,000 gallons

60.50
60.50 +2.67/1000
gal. in excess of
20,000 gallons

Water Rates:
Minimum (per qtr)
Per 1,000 gallons in excess
Of 15,000 gallons

Curbside Recycling (per qtr)
No Change for 2004

Priority Street Lighting (per qtr)

Storm Water Fee (per qtr)
No Change for 2004
Residential
Commercial

24.15

25.35

1.61

1.69

5.64
1.29

5.64
1.29

6.30
25.20/REU

7.20
28.80/REU

These rates tal(e effect with the first quarter of 2005 and will
show on the billing you should receive in April 2005.
