The project includes nine (9) ADA pedestrian ramp improvements. <br />Based on GPR data and as -built information a 2-inch mill and overlay are proposed on all streets; Evergreen <br />Point Townhomes will require a 1-inch mill with 2-inch overlay. <br />Alpine Woods <br />The original construction of Uranium Street included a temporary bituminous turnaround above the curb line, <br />mimicking a cul-de-sac turnaround. This was to set up potential extension of Uranium Street to the north. A house <br />was constructed between 2011 and 2014 immediately north of the Uranium Street right of way, make future <br />extension of Uranium Street not practical. This project includes moving the curb line to the edge of the cul-de-sac, <br />converting this from a temporary improvement to a permanent one. This will improve public works staff's ability <br />to maintain this cul-de-sac, including making snow plowing less difficult. <br />Preliminary Schedule Remaining <br />• Council awards contract to the Lowest Responsible Bidder <br />o May 26, 2026 <br />• Contractor Begins Construction <br />o Late June / Early July 2026 <br />• Contractor Substantially Completes Construction <br />o New bituminous in -place <br />o July 31, 2026 <br />• Contractor Final Completion <br />o Verify final restoration; punch list created <br />o August 28, 2026 <br />Notification: <br />If Council accepts the bids and awards a contract for construction, letters will be mailed to property owners with <br />updates on the project status. Engineering staff maintains City Improvement Project webpages with the most <br />current project information, which will also be updated. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Timeframe: <br />Staff anticipates up to 10 minutes will be required to present this case and answer any questions. <br />Observations: <br />Due to staffing constraints, Bolton & Menk was hired by the city to design and produce plans and specifications. <br />City staff will administer and inspect construction. <br />Alternatives: <br />Alternative #1— Motion to adopt Resolution #26-114 accepting bids and awarding contract for 2026 <br />Neighborhood Pavement Overlay Improvements, Improvement Project #26-08, to North Valley, Inc. for the total <br />bid of $499,411.45. <br />Alternative #2 — Motion of other. <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for this improvement is proposed to come from Pavement Management Funds and Storm Water Utility <br />Funds. The final project costs may change from the estimate depending upon bid prices and actual construction <br />quantities. <br />On May 12, 2026 a total of six (6) bids were received, opened and tabulated, and the following bids were found <br />to comply with the advertisement for bids. <br />
