City Engineer Jankowski replied the City has not assessed sidewalk projects in the past. <br />Acting Chairperson Cook asked if the improvements would be completed within the utility <br />easement. <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied the improvements would be accomplished within the right-of- <br />way; there is a 60-foot right-of--way down all these streets. The difficult thing will be matching <br />the driveways, and in some instances temporary easements may be needed to make the <br />driveways serviceable. There were not many problems with this with the project on 145th Lane. <br />Acting Chairperson Cook commented residents have not been assessed for sidewalk <br />improvements in the past, but the project would not be classified under the Park and Trail Fund; <br />it does not provide a connection, and only benefits this neighborhood. <br />Motion by Councilmember Olson, seconded by Acting Chairperson Cook, to forward the <br />discussion of the feasibility of installing sidewalk improvements on Waco Street to a work <br />session for discussion by the full Council. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Chairperson Cook and Councilmember Olson. Voting No: <br />None.
