As a part of the transaction, the City is to convey title to Lots 3 and Lot 3A, Block 1, <br />Suniish Lake Business Park to Panther Investment. On April 8, 2003, the City Council <br />introduced a~n ordinance to authorize the sale. Tlnat ordinance was adoptecl on April 22, 2003. A <br />resolution is necessary to complete the sale of Torrens property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilnncmber Cook, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt Resolution <br />#03-05-106 authorizina the sale of Lot 3 and Lot 3A, Block 1 Sunfish Lake Business Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor ©amec, and Councilmembers Cook, Strommen, Kurak, <br />Elvig, Pearson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Request for a Home Occupation Permit; CaseofFlorenceKahlstorf <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City received an application fi'om <br />Florence lhahlstorh' [bt a home occupation permit to establish a massage therapy business i~a her <br />home on tine property located at 7136 159"' Lane. City Code restricts home occupations to 20% <br />of the gross floor area of tho lnome. The room in which the home occupation will take place is <br />3 I2 square l"eet (24 x t3) in size, which equates to 10% (312 / 2,872) of' tile gross floor area. <br />Florence will be tho sole employee and she expects to service a maximum of 1~2 clients per day. <br />She would liko to operate Monday - Sunday 7:00 am - 9:00 pm. The in home massage therapy <br />business will be secondary to her main employment as a massage theraloist in a clinic or <br />chiropractic office. The City has issued several similar home occupation permits in the past. <br />Thc Planning Commission held a public hearing and reviewed tine proposed home occupation <br />request at their May 1,2003 meeting. Tlnere was no citizen input during the public hearing. The <br />Planning Commission recommended tlnat tine City Council approve tile honae occupation request <br />got F'lorence Kahlstorf. <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcilmember Zimmerman, seconded by Conncilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution <br />#03-05-107 adopting Findings of Fact #0646 relating to Florence Kahlstorffs request for a home <br />occupation pernqit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Zimmerman, Elvig, Cook, <br />Kurak, Pearson, and Strommen.
