The permit fee for permanent and temporary signs shadl be as provided by <br />City Councii resolution. ._ <br /> <br />.12.16 Exemptions <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. The exemptions permitted by this Section shall apply only to the <br />requirement of a permit and/or fee and shall not be construed as relieving the installer of the sign, or the <br />owner of the property upon which the sign is located, from conforming with the Other provisions of this <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />Subd. 2. A permit, but no fee, is required under this Section for the following signs: <br /> <br />Temporary or permanent signs erected by a non-profit organization, as defined by <br />Internal Revenue Code, Section 503C. <br /> <br />Signs erected by a governmental unit or public schooI district. <br /> <br />Portable si,o'ns, balloons, streamers, gas filled figures, whirling <br />revolving searchlights used in conjunction with a public event or gand opening for <br />~,. - ...... a period of uo to th/nv f30) days surrounding si-the public event or grand <br />opening only. <br /> <br /> I <br />devices and I <br /> I <br /> <br />d. On-site construction signs having a sign area of eighty (80) square feet or less. <br /> <br />e.
