The sign will not interfere with the abilitY of drivers and pedestrians to see <br />any street or highway sign, or any traffic sig-n or sig-nat, or any crossroad or <br />crosswalk; and <br /> <br />The sign will not distract drivers nor of I%r any confusion to any street or <br />highway, .si~mx, or any traffic sig_n or signal. <br /> <br /> c. A sign shall not be located so as to extend over any lot line or within fifteen (15) <br /> feet of any point of vehicular access from a parco! to a public roadway. <br /> <br /> Subd. 6. Illumination. Any site lighting or illuminated sig-n ·located on the ~onnd, <br />or on a building or in a window wkich changes in either color or intensity of light shall not be permitted, <br />except such a sign. ~ving public service information such as time, date, temperature, weather or similar <br />information shall b~ permitted. The zoning Admin/strator in granting perm/ts for illuminated signs shall <br />specify the hours during which the same may be kept lighted in order to prevent the creation of a <br />nuisance. There shall be no use of revolving beacons, xip flashers or sim/lar devices which cause 'any of <br />the sources of light to change in intensity, unless as permitted above. <br /> <br /> Subd. 7. Institutional and Recreational Identification Sign. One wail and/or <br />ground sign shall be permitted to identify the civic, philanthropic, educational, pubIic or religious <br />organization or recreational use occupying the parcel. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign <br />for each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground Sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square feet <br />for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate goss surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br />Such facilities having more than one point of entrance or street frontage may erect secondary <br />identification signs not to exceed,,~,r~-"~j ,r~, ~J fif'~v (50) square feet for each exposed face at the additional <br />entrance points or street frontages. <br /> <br /> Subd. 8. Institutional Attraction Boards'. There shall.not be more than one <br />institutional attraction board for each principal building and it may be either wall or ground type or <br />Constructed as a part of the Institutional Identification Sign. Pennants. The use of pennants is permitted in any commercial district <br />provided the pennants are securely anchored and maintained in good repair, including replacement or <br />removal when weather damage is evident. The r':..,~,.j .^.~...,,.~,A~;~;~*~*~- Zonin~ Administrator, or his/her <br />desi~ee, shall have the authority to identify and notify property owners and/or occupants of the parcel <br />on which the pennants have been determined to be in violation of City Code. Failure to remove or <br />rsplace the pennants within ten (10) days of notifcafion shall be sufficient cause for the C-~ <br />A~:~r2a~atcr Zonin~ Administrator or his/her desi~ee to remove said pennants.
